The Biggest Things Announced At E3 2021's Nintendo Direct.

Another year has come and gone which means another E3 and another Nintendo Direct have come too. This year was a big one for Nintendo and i'm here to geek out and break it all down. for you guys.

The first announcement we got was a Smash Bros x Tekken crossover for the latest DLC character in Kazuya. He looks completely overpowered (as is LITERALLY every DLC for this game) and a further character presentation is coming on June 28th.

Next, we got a new Mario announcement in Mario Party Superstars. Mario is my favourite game series and since I really enjoyed Super Mario Party and most of the previous games, I like this idea of a Top 100 kind of idea for the Switch. It goes back to classic Mario Party format and even accommodates full button controls for all the mini-games. The game releases October 29th, 2021 with pre orders starting today.

The next game was easily the hugest shock for me. Sadly, no Metroid Prime 4. However, we got a new Metroid game coming in the form of the previously canned sequel to Metroid Fusion, Metroid Dread. If you don't know, Dread was a game in development for the Nintendo DS that was never officially announced and was tightly under wraps. This is the first 2D game in the franchise since Fusion and this will tie us over because surprise surprise, no Metroid Prime 4 to be seen. Metroid Dread releases October 8th, 2021. To learn more about Metroid Dread pre cancellation, watch this clip.

For the first time since Game and Wario, we have a brand new WarioWare game in WarioWare: Get It Together! If you don't know, WarioWare games are a series of mini-games that are short, strange and fun. A entry for the Switch was a no-brainer and with Nintendo surveys mentioning a Switch entry a few weeks ago, this came as no surprise. WarioWare: Get It Together! releases on the Nintendo Switch September 10th, 2021.

The Advance Wars series is back... sort of. Instead of a brand new game, we are getting remakes of the first 2 games in the form of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. If you don't know, Advance Wars is a tactical series of combat games popular on the Gameboy Advance. Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp releases December 3rd, 2021.

After the success of the Super Mario Bros Game and Watch, Nintendo is back at it for The Legend of Zelda's 35th anniversary. The Mario one had 2 games on it. The classic Super Mario Bros and the true sequel to SMB, The Lost Levels. In turn, this one will have The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link', Link's Awakening and a new Game And Watch Zelda game preloaded. The new Game and Watch releases November 12, 2021.

Finally, the one we've been all waiting for. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild II's first look. It's been 2 years since the announcement and the game is now locked in for a 2022 release. It looks incredible. The mechanics look improved and the graphics, the graphics. I was mind blown every single second. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild II comes out in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch.

These were all the big announcements made by Nintendo today during the Nintendo Direct! Did I miss anything? Let me know in the comments below!
