Marvel Studios is doing a fantastic job of keeping ETERNALS under wrap.Despite the first trailer finally releasing, it didn’t shed any light on plot points at all. But, this is seeming to change.
The plot of the film regards these beings created by the Celestials who have lived on Earth in secret for thousands of years and fight Deviants. We know that the Eternals and Deviants are connected somehow but we haven't learnt how.
Well, Big Screen leaks is proud to exclusively report how the 2 connect together. Spoiler warning here and if you don't want the film to be ruined, stop reading this article. Here's what our source had to say:
Sersi (Gemma Chan) learns that the Celestials created both races and that the Eternals are basically just very advanced robots. They seed young planets with a Celestial "egg" that takes eons to mature. The evolving intelligent life on these planets feeds the Celestial's growth, so the Eternals are sent to protect the evolving life forms and kill the Deviants. After the emergence, the Eternals are " rebooted" and sent to another world.
This is a great twist and a most interesting idea and hard to see coming unless you've read the comics. I cannot wait to see how this pans out in the film.
ETERNALS is scheduled for a release date of November 5th, 2021.
